Description

When we feel stressed-out all day long and can’t switch off for a second, life often seems to speed up!  We try to catch up, by working harder or longer but, instead, overwhelm sneaks in to fuel anxiety. In turn, this may spiral us into a cycle of overthinking our actions, so we procrastinate more and achieve less! Or we can sense motivation slipping away, leaving us lacking energy and struggling with the basic demands of our day-to-day life.

Recognise any of this?

Then you’re certainly not alone.  This decade has seen more and more of us living like this; we tell ourselves that a pause or a holiday is just around the corner, but the reality is that living in a constant state of crisis alters our nervous system and it becomes impossible to be either productive, or switch off, when we need to!

You see, stress has pushed us more into our heads, our work and our daily tasks and away from nurturing ourselves and making time for meaningful relationships.  Instead, we need to work more within ourselves; fostering practices that help us to feel calm, safe and connected as well as building in adequate time for daily recovery.
