Virtual “Hellenic” Yoga Retreat – 8th – 11th May

“Kalispera, Kalispera,  they beckon.  And, then, just like that, the Greek night wraps around us and we rattle along in our open-top jeep to our sea-facing villa”

Sometimes it feels good to simply surrender to our happiest thoughts or memories. When we allow our mind to transport us to a place we love – whether we are alone there or surrounded by friends or family – we can really recharge our soul.  And, just like actually travelling on retreat, we can return to real-life with new perspective, feeling restored.

All this warm weather has found my thoughts returning again and again to my favourite Cyclades islands.  In my mind I’m island hopping; feeling that surge of excitement as my ferry pulls away from one island, watching it recede to a dusky blue shadow …. and then, my heart races again at the first glimpse of my next island. Balancing on the bow door, fag-in-mouth, one of the swarthy crew lasso’s a harbour-side bollard and then I’m off, into the crowded port, fighting amongst the luggage and those determined to load fruit, vegetables, gasoline – “life-lines” for those tiniest islands.

Licking dust off my teeth I notice them – brightly-clothed and shouting my name,  “Kalispera, Kalispera”,  they beckon.  And, then, just like that, the Greek night wraps around us and we rattle along in our open-top jeep to our sea-facing villa.

Will you join me for this adventure? Sharing a few days together filled with yoga, delicious food and the warmth that community can bring – this is the true magic of retreating.

I hope you can come day-dreaming with me ….
